EQ Shine Program - Grade 8

Overview

In Grade 8, children build advanced emotional intelligence and life skills for high school and beyond. They deepen self-awareness by understanding emotions, triggers, strengths, and personal growth, and practice positive self-talk, self-love, and body positivity. Self-management skills include resilience, mindfulness, conflict resolution, and goal-setting. Students develop empathy, leadership, teamwork, digital safety, and assertive communication, while learning to navigate peer pressure, bullying, and ethical choices. By the end of Grade 8, children gain the confidence, emotional maturity, and decision-making skills needed to face adolescence and life’s challenges with integrity and wisdom.
